Read to Unlock ("the app") is designed so that your data stays on your device. We do not operate servers, we do not create accounts, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, browsing history, reading content, or any usage analytics. The passages you read, the PDFs you import, your reading position, settings, and statistics are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.
The app uses Apple's Screen Time framework to let you lock apps that you choose. Apple's design ensures the app never sees the names or identities of the apps you select; the selection is handled entirely by iOS using opaque tokens. This information never leaves your device.
PDFs you import are copied into the app's private storage on your device so your reading position can be saved. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. If you subscribe, purchase validation is performed by RevenueCat, Inc. acting as our service provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase receipt data — never your name, email, or reading activity. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
