Blyp has no account, no login, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Your ledger — every amount, merchant, category and note — stays on your iPhone.
Blyp collects no personal data. There is no server to send it to. The app works fully in aeroplane mode.
This document is short because there is very little to describe.
All of it lives on your device, inside the app's own storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

Deleting Blyp deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
When you tap the microphone, Blyp transcribes what you say using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Blyp requests on-device recognition explicitly, so the audio is not sent to Apple for processing. The recording is not saved: only the resulting text becomes an entry, and only if you keep it.
Photographing a receipt runs Apple's on-device text recognition over the image to find the total. The photo is never uploaded and never stored. It is read in memory and discarded; only the amount you confirm is kept.
Optional, and off unless you switch it on. If you do, Blyp asks iOS to tell it when you have left a place you stopped at, so it can ask whether you spent anything. Blyp receives only that event. It does not record where you were, does not keep a trail, and nothing about your location leaves the device.
Local only, scheduled by the app on your device. There is no push server. They are used for a bill that is due, a daily limit you crossed, and the one monthly notice when spending has passed your income.
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, you can ask Blyp questions about your own spending. This uses Apple's on-device foundation model. Your question and your ledger stay on the iPhone; there is no API key, no account and no request to any company's server — including ours. On iPhones without Apple Intelligence the feature is simply absent, and everything else works identically.
If you buy Blyp Plus, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. Blyp never sees your card, your name or your address. To know whether your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device and Apple's receipt for the transaction. That identifier is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. No entry from your ledger is ever sent to RevenueCat or anyone else.
Blyp is rated 4+ and collects nothing, from anyone, at any age.
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and Türkiye's KVKK you have rights over personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: there is no account, no database and no record of you. Deleting the app deletes everything Blyp ever stored.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change will be described in the app's release notes.
