Juniper Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 August 2026

The short version

Juniper was built on a simple principle: your bladder diary, your symptoms, your exercise history, and your personal notes are yours, and yours alone. Juniper stores everything you record — every diary entry, every pelvic floor session, every note — only on your device. There is no Juniper account, no login, no server database of your health information, and no cloud sync of your health content. We built it this way on purpose, because we think a health journal you're trusting with something private shouldn't live anywhere you can't see it.

The only piece of information that ever leaves your device is what's needed to process a purchase if you choose to subscribe, handled by our payments partner, RevenueCat — and even that is tied to an anonymous ID, never your name or your health data.

This policy explains exactly what that means in detail.

Who we are

Juniper is a bladder diary and 12-week pelvic floor exercise program for women 45+, made for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy covers the Juniper app and the Juniper Apple Watch app.

Data we collect

1. Your diary and exercise content — stays on your device, never collected by us

Everything you enter in Juniper — bladder diary events, symptoms, exercise session history, program progress, and any personal notes — is stored locally in the app's on-device database (Apple's Core Data framework). This data:

If you choose to export your data (PDF or CSV, for example to share with your doctor) and use the iOS share sheet to send it — by email, AirDrop, or another app — that is an action you take deliberately, using Apple's built-in sharing tools. Juniper does not receive a copy of what you share, does not choose the recipient, and is not involved in that transmission.

2. Purchase data — the one thing that leaves your device

Juniper offers optional subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, processed through Apple's App Store using our subscription-management partner, RevenueCat. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat may receive:

RevenueCat does not receive your bladder diary entries, symptoms, exercise history, or notes. RevenueCat cannot see anything you record in the app — purchase processing and your health content are completely separate.

RevenueCat acts as our data processor for this limited purpose. You can review RevenueCat's own privacy policy at [RevenueCat privacy policy link — TODO: add exact URL].

3. Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Juniper schedules local notifications directly on your device using Apple's notification framework. No notification server is involved, no push token is collected, and Juniper's developer never sees whether or when you receive a reminder.

4. What Juniper does NOT do

To be completely explicit, Juniper does not:

Why we process the data we do

Children's privacy

Juniper is designed for and directed at women aged 45 and older. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country).

Your rights and how to exercise them

Because there's no server holding your health data

For nearly all of Juniper's data — your diary entries, symptoms, exercise history, and notes — there is nothing on a Juniper-controlled server to access, correct, or delete, because it was never sent there. You already have full, direct control:

For the purchase data RevenueCat processes on our behalf

You have the rights described below under GDPR/UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA. To exercise them for purchase-related data, contact us at 1anfibi@gmail.com.

GDPR / UK GDPR (for users in the EU, EEA, UK, and similar frameworks)

Because Juniper does not operate a server that stores your personal or health content, Juniper is not a "data controller" with respect to that content — it was never collected in the first place. For the limited purchase data processed via RevenueCat, our legal bases are:

Subject to these limits, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, contact 1anfibi@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CCPA / CPRA (California residents)

Juniper does not sell or share your personal information, and never has.

Categories of information collected: purchase/transaction data (via RevenueCat), as described above. Juniper does not collect any of the other categories defined under CCPA/CPRA (e.g., geolocation, biometric identifiers, browsing history) — your health/diary content stays on your device and is not "collected" by us in the legal sense of being received by a business.

You have the right to:

To exercise these rights, contact 1anfibi@gmail.com.

Data retention

Security

Your on-device data benefits from the security of iOS itself (device encryption, app sandboxing). Purchase data in transit to RevenueCat is protected by industry-standard encryption (TLS).

International users

Juniper is available in 21 storefronts, including the US, UK, EU member states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, and Turkey. Because your health content never leaves your device, there is no cross-border transfer of that data by Juniper. Purchase data processed via RevenueCat may be transferred internationally as described in RevenueCat's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Juniper handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
